Facade Repairs

The building at 5201 South Cornell Avenue is a 27-story residential tower. The high-rise structure is surrounded by an outdoor plaza, with an indoor parking garage located below the plaza level.

The residential tower features an exposed, conventionally reinforced, cast-in-place concrete framing system. The east elevation incorporates a series of balconies with steel railings, while the north, south, and west elevations are characterized by exposed concrete columns, spandrel beams, and slab edges.

East Elevation Repairs:

  • Concrete repairs, including as-needed crack routing and sealing, concrete removals (breakouts), and balcony slab repairs

  • As-needed replacement of window perimeter sealant

  • Membrane repairs at balconies requiring topside or slab-edge concrete repairs

  • Full (100%) painting of exposed concrete surfaces
