What is your favorite project and why?

1616 Sheridan. Suburban highrises are not usually as tall as their Chicago counterparts, but this one is notable due to its picturesque location literally on the beach of Lake Michigan.  Over the course of several years we designed and administered numerous façade repair projects for individual components such as masonry repairs, concrete repairs and railing / balcony enclosure replacement, and windows replacement.  The location and variety of projects completed, coupled with the distinctive wording of the Association by-laws created billing challenges that made otherwise standard projects unique.

Why do you like working at KGH?

I enjoy that KGH’s focus on existing building envelopes allows for opportunities several times each week to evaluate field conditions beyond what can be found on a computer screen.

KGH’s hiring practice of considering not only the professional requirements but also the personality compatibility of their employees, as well as their attention to their employee’s individual needs makes for an excellent atmosphere in which to work.
